I love Kim's! It's one of the best Pho places I've had and it's across the street from my work. It's a hole in the wall and gets very busy during lunch, but it is worth it. Staff is always super friendly and the food comes out quickly! They have more seating in the back past the kitchen, but they do keep on eye on tables to see how long you've been there once it starts getting super crowded. They are very good about making sure you have a place to sit if the place is crowded and you wish to stay which I like.
They serve beef and chicken Pho, Banh Mi, Eggrolls and a few different rice and noodle dishes! They also just recently added Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Spring Rolls which are tasty! I have tried almost everything here and I love it all!
Everything comes in big portions too, even the Eggrolls so bring your appetite! -

A solid go-to for Vietnamese food. I was really disappointed in the banh mi from Mendocino Farms at the Ice Blocks (overpriced and underwhelming), so I tried Kim's pork banh mi and it was very satisfying. BTW I've only ever come here after 1pm when the lunch rush is over, seems like the best time to avoid foot traffic.
Service: 4/5 Friendly, Attentive
Food: 4/5 Great quality
Value: 5/5 Some items can be considered on the verge of high, but I haven't found a small mom-and-pop shop that isn't having to compete with high rent etc in this city. -

Hole in the wall kinda place. The chicken in the pho was undercooked and the place isn't very clean either.

This place has some of the best pho I have ever had. The location is small and crowded, but the food is so worth it. Prices are competitive for quite large portion sizes, and I swear the chicken pho has healing powers. Plan ahead some time to wait in line or come after the lunch rush, but don't miss this downtown gem of a place!

Regrettably only my second visit and it was just as good as I remembered on my first visit. I ordered the Pho Beef Noodle Soup with rare steak on the side. The broth was tasty and hot enough to cook my rare steak to perfection. I hate overcooked meats, and the brisket and rare steak are of great quality here. Kim's Vietnamese Food is a spot for a very hungry person. Huge, generous portions for only $9.75! For me, I can make two meals out of my order. I recommend sharing an order if you are not too hungry and getting a side of the giant sized egg rolls. They are on the meaty side and very crispy. Perfect combo of savory noodle soup and crispy goodness. This is my kind of comfort food. I just wish they had a clear noodles option like some of the places in South Sacramento. At my table, one of my friends ordered #3 BBQ shrimp, pork, and an eggroll with the vermicelli noodles and the other with over rice. Neither was able to finish all the noodles or rice, but loved the dish!
